AT&T sees an end to Wi-Fi-only tablets | Macworld

Sorry, but I don’t see it. For many people, they have no need for a cellular tablet. For one, Wifi is ubiquitous and secondly, they have a smartphone for doing those things that they need to do when Wifi is NOT available. I have not missed it on either of my iPads.

I love the paragraph near the end of the article, tho they should have added “and then hell freezes over”.

The key to getting more consumers to buy cellular-equipped tablets will be carriers offering data plans that cover more than one device, O’Donnell said. “All they have to do is open up those data plans,” he said. “That’ll solve it overnight.”
